Comic-A-Week (better title in the future)

I’m an ordained minister and like to draw; I like to draw so much in fact I've dedicated the past three years of my life to the ancient art... of making art.
Look what I tried to do…

“Don’t bullshit me. People might forget their dreams, and they’re children, but you’re – you’re you, I know you must remember something.”
“I remember Rapture.” A sign he had needed to invent, a combination of ‘lighthouse’ and ‘city.’“I remember it every day. But I don’t remember Rapture before I went back.”

Not to be left alone- Hannah
He’s supposed to be signing “I remember Rapture.” with the way the author translated it into “Lighthouse City.”

Based on this fanfiction about the aftermath of Bioshock 1 I don’t know if people forget or just don’t care about the fact that Jack destroyed his vocal cords in the game and therefore cannot talk so I love fanfictions that remember  that and make sure it’s apparent when they write him.
I wanted to delve deeper into doing ASL in comics and It took forever to try and illustrate some of these signs because they had a lot of motions

One of the first things Jack asked Tenenbaum after Fontaine’s death, writing carefully as to not disturb the little one sleeping in his lap, was,What’s her name?
“Charlotte.” She reached out to stroke the little one’s hair, loose from the pigtail.
How old is she?
“Six. Greta, Charlotte, Ruth, all six. Jeanine, she is almost six. Masha turned seven three months ago.”
They’re older than me.
She froze, then went on as though she hadn’t. “Yes, they are.”

-Not to be Left Alone by Hannah

Also reading that again I messed up Charlottes hair I do apologize
The design is kind of based on this artists way of drawing Jack, the glowy yellow eyes thing is great (I would advise careful treading through their other artworks though they have warnings set up for a reason
This comic is one of two that I did for this fanfic but it’s later on in the story so I’m putting all the information on just this one.

Just some cuddling between characters and a little unsettling fact that Francis talks in his sleep and sometimes he lapses into Latin exorcisms…(either he’s been watching to much TV or you really can’t take the catholic out of the boy)

Two versions of the same comic I was experimenting with not inking my comic and just painting over the pencil…I kinda like the bottom panel a lot

This is another original character study with Francis…I sure like to beat him up and make him all conflicted a lot…

here’s a woodburned attempt at comic…just a girl and illegible sayings with a heart.

This weeks comic and banner for my website…maybe we’ll see how it looks…it’s just a chase scene between unknown man and my character Francis (with special guest Issac) because I was watching people play Infamous: Second Son….

this is actually relevant I’m terribly sleepy…

Musings about all the things that have been happening this week…we keep getting left out more and more it seems…
The first panel is just a little story my grandma used to tell me…
I’m not saying we still don’t have to deal with that same type of racism but I’m worried about the fact that if we don’t get representation we’ll just disappear…
